If we can get our kids beyond standardized testing alone and into the garden to get their hands dirty and their minds growing, we'll all be the better for it. Both of Dave and Chatham's children were part of creating this year's school garden and I know their experiences inspired the cultivation of a home garden. Schools can be agents of change and innovation in the community, if they are perceived---and actualized---as such. How can the Valley Futures vision be tied into our education system in the MRV?
